Four promises
A quiet, honest fortune app.
We left out what most fortune apps have: full-screen ads, paywalled “detailed readings” and sending your birth date to a server.
No ads
No banners, no full-screen ads, no locked readings. That goes for every Nova family app.
Everything works without sign-in
Enter your birth date once and every reading opens. The Nova family account is optional, only if you want it.

Readings that show their reasoning
Not just a verdict, but why.
Every N Fortune result can open up to show which characters, relationships and rules it came from. Here is an example of one daily reading.
Example · Gap-wood (甲木) day master · Im-ja (壬子) day
A day of rising water
Learning and tidying up come easily. Try finishing the study or paperwork you put off, in the morning.
Why this reading
The day pillar is 壬子, water (水) twice over.
Your day master 甲 is wood (木). Water nourishes wood (水生木).
Saju tradition calls the energy that nourishes you “Inseong” (resource), long linked with learning, documents and support.
Your natal chart is light on water, so the day's water fills in the balance (useful-god support).
A reading for fun and reference.
Precise calculation
Astronomical calendarThe 24 solar terms come from computing the Sun's ecliptic longitude, not from copied tables. Term start times are to the minute.
True solar time correctionThe hour pillar accounts for changes in Korea's standard meridian, past daylight saving time, the equation of time and your birthplace longitude.
Lunar dates · leap monthsEnter a lunar birthday or a leap month as is. You don't need to know your birth hour.
Boundaries are flaggedIf you were born within 15 minutes of a solar-term change, the app says so.
Privacy
Your birthday and photos stay on your phone.
A fortune is your own story, so both the calculation and the storage happen on your phone.
Birth date · name
Calculated and stored only on your device. Never sent to a server.
Face and palm photos
Read on your device and discarded right away. Photos are not stored; only results you choose to save stay on the device.
Morning alert
A notification scheduled on your device, with no server push. No ad or analytics tools either.
Signing in to the Nova family account is optional. See the privacy policy for details.
For fun and reference. N Fortune readings are traditional theories put into calculation and words. For important decisions about health, money, law or contracts, please talk to a professional. There are no bad days, only days to rest.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no paywalled readings, no coins.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Every feature works without signing in. The Nova family account is optional for those who want it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The calendar and readings are all calculated on your device, so it works in airplane mode.
Are the fortunes accurate?
The calendar is calculated precisely with astronomy. The readings, though, are stories handed down by tradition, so we make no promise that they come true. Please read them for fun and reference.
Where do face and palm photos go?
Nowhere. They're read on your device and discarded right away. Photos are not stored.
Where is the user guide?
It goes up right here when the app launches. It will cover entering your birthday (lunar dates, leap months, unknown hour), reading your Saju, naming criteria, tarot spreads and taking face and palm photos.
